In my recent address in Strasbourg on the EU anti-poverty strategy, in the EMPL committee, I stressed that Europe will only be strong if it is fair. Too many people who work and contribute still struggle to live with dignity — and that is not a personal failure, but a political responsibility we share. We need a credible European strategy that supports national systems with clear direction and practical action. Leadership means standing up for fairness and opportunity for all.
